The Annual Meeting of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) is the world's largest meeting devoted to clinical chemistry and clinical laboratory science in general. The Annual Meeting and Clinical Laboratory Exposition of the AACC is held concurrently with the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. About 25% of AACC members work in industry developing products for clinical laboratories worldwide. The AACC Clinical Lab Expo attracts more than 650 exhibiting companies and more than 19,000 participants.
Clinical laboratory science is the analysis of fluids and tissues for the diagnosis, management and treatment of illness and injury. Members of AACC work in laboratories affiliated with hospitals, research institutions, academia, reference laboratories, and the industry.
A unique feature of the AACC Expo is the OEM section which is, in effect, a trade show for companies which sell their products to IVD (in vitro Diagnostic) manufacturers.
